Wasteland Vehicle Construction Sets ? on setup

Wasteland Vehicle Construction Set | Daz 3D

I'm trying to use this set but seem to be missing pieces or something. . If you put alll the covers on, all OK, but if you leave them off there seem to be gaps between chassis and different parts. Is it actually made that way or what am I doing wrong. The parts seem to snap in place, once I figured out which piece needs to be selected for the next one to fit... overall, but the drive shaft does not mesh with the differential or transmission, no matter what I select as the parent. 

Are there any instructions to achieve putting this together? 

I see the 2 adds are on sale right now and I would buy them if I could figure this out.

    I looked at the preset vehicles, and all those with a visible driveshaft have it angled and scaled to fit. (The U-Joint doesn't actually connect in most cases). There are gaps between the doors and the cab floor, the hood and the bumper... Hey, it's wasteland, and good parts are hard to find.

    Many of the presets have some odd combinations, some of which are mystifying. I don't think they were meant to be true-to-life builds. There are three basic models, but only one type of transmission. Some of the 4x4s don't have connections to the second differential, but you have to look underneath to notice. Not really show-stopping, but you have to suspend your disbelief if you're a car afficionado.
