New features going from 4.7 to 4.8, other than Iray?

I just upgraded from 4.7.0.12 to 4.8.0.55 for Iray and discovered it's way too slow. And though the renders are lovely, 3Delight's more painterly look is more what I need anyway. I noticed right away a few stability issues that I had not seen with the previous version. I'm thinking about downgrading, but first I'd like to know what I'd be sacrificing, other than Iray.

First, 4.8.0.55 is not the latest version...4.8.0.59 is and some of those stability issues are cleared up in that update.

The big item, though, if you are not using Iray, but 3Delight, is the version in 4.8.0.59 is 11.0.130...which includes quite a few updates, not the least of which are speed ups over the version included in 4.7.  There are number of other improvements/fixes in that version of 3DL, too.

Thanks. That's good to hear, because I like the improved viewport rendering, at least.
