Why do I seem to be the only person thinking updating websites should be done offline? Like other companies do? With proper alerts? And sorry for the inconveniance etc? Am I human? Is it very dark in here?

Last one received was 40 minutes ago. Is anyone still continuing to receive them?

Last one (for now) was at 8:08 am.  It's not 11:22 am.  Maybe that's it, now?

Man, I'm delighted I don't have a wish list. I never get emails unless I buy something. I have not done that in a while now.

I was lead programmer for our main in-house applications at COMDEX, later Key3Media and Events.  All new code was thoroughly tested on servers dedicated to only testing, with a copy of the live database, so the live database would not be affected by bugs in the code.  Until it was certain that it was working as intended, and that no other portion of the application was broken by the new routines, only then was it moved to the live application.  This was also the case for the internet applications, which were very important to the business.

Getting emails about wishlished items on sale is nice. I got like 30 emails over the course of last night. Steam does the same thing, but steam also lets me sort out what's on sale and what isn't on my wishlist.

i like the wishlisted items on sale notifications.  great idea.  one per day would be plenty, though.

    :)

This literally forced me to tag all Daz emails as spam just to avoid it.

    I got a total of 31 - last at 8 AM PDT

I got a ton too, well over 30, but I figured it's a glitch that needs to be ironed out and didn't get irritated by it as I feel it's a feature that is definitely needed and welcomed, once it works properly. I'm sure there's a technical way that could have been a better idea to get it up and running, though I have no input there as I don't know much about making websites and such. But I haven't gotten one in awhile, so it's hopefully fixed.

    LOL

  • If you only want to get the "I purchased something type" emails. You can go in there and just mark the Daz sales email address as spam and away you go. The address that sends you purchase confirmations and the sales flyers are different. Did that years ago and it's saved me a ton of aggravation and unwanted emails, and probably cash as well smiley

Well, I deleted them all early this morning, so I don't know, but thankfully there haven't been any NEW ones today so far.

  • Weird. I didn't get any wishlist emails, even though when I checked my account the wishlist option was checked.

    So happy to be overlooked.
