Clean Windows install, existing Daz 3D Library, gotchas?
Hello,
A rather involved string of events, so please bear with me.
I'm currently running Windows 7, on a spinning HDD. But Nvidia drivers for Windows 7 only go so far. And if I wish to update my GPU (currently RTX3060) I'll need newer drivers.
So, I'm currently planning on doing a fresh install of Windows 10 onto a SSD drive. (I'm also contemplating updating GPU to a 3090. But that's another discussion).
Here's the kicker. I have 3 other spinning HDDs in this system, and the "My Daz 3D Library" is installed on one of these drives.
What I'd like to do, is once Windows and Daz are installed, I'd like to point my new install to the existing location. Hopefully saving me the work of downloading and installing all the packages I already have.
Is this possible? Or will I need to do a complete download/install anyway..?
Thanks in advance.
PS. For extra credit. If I go with the 3090, will my current 850W power supply handle it?
