Alembic File Transport issues from Daz to Octane

I need to make use of  360 panaromic camera  for a VR project  and Octane Standalone has one--it also has to be animated. Problem.  The standalone animates worth  crap.  The alembic function is a headache and is not working.  Been at it for a week with not one rendered frame.

The problem.

It .obj comes in 100 times scale--so large, I cannot  even find it.  I scoll, scroll, scroll, scroll--scroll some more. One time it took me a literal TEN minutes--I gave up...never found it

So, I was told "Just like, create and obcx file,  then pull the alembic into the scene and replace the .obj file with the animated one."  Uhm--same results -- once I pull the alembic in  I can't even find my obcx scene any more.....

Not sure what to do and at my wits end--so much so that I went slap off on support--didn't mean to, but I am livid at this point. Why is this so fricking hard?  All I want to do is animate in the plaftom--sheesh.

    Hello,

what's your import settings in Octane? In my experience to have the same size as a standard obj import in Octane it must be divided by ten. Mine for example: meters for obj, decimeters for abc. My export setting in DS is 10% for obj.

    Hope it help

Thank you--someone has kinda  shown me how to scale it--but thank you for the kind comment! Now I just need to figure out how to export pngs!

    Hello,

with png you are talking about textures? My experience so far :

in DS: export obj (with collect textures selected), export abc

in Octane : load both , there is a script (lua forum) to create separate material nodes from an obj, link the newly created material nodes to the abc node. I'd like a script to do it in one shot :-)

    Also :

    - to get manageable abc I export separates abc and group them in octane

    - for parts of the scene that don't move (background,...)  I keep standard obj (more simple)
