What is the purpose of 'Perspective view' always returning to 0,0,0 after the program is closed?

What is the purpose of 'Perspective view' always returning to 0,0,0 after the program is closed?

So far I can't see something useful from this "feature". Is someone needs a quick return to the Zero point of the perspective view, a simple RMB click or something like this on an approriate spot will be more than enough.

If there is something useful from this "feature", please tell me. Because I found only annoying problems from it.

the only reason you have this issue is DAZ Studio unlike many other programs doesn't load with a default camera

I have the opposite issue in ones that do

that said I never understand why in all my programs the cameras always load in unusefull default positions unless set in options

you can set it to load a saved scene though with a camera, environment, tone, lights etc but then you need to remember to not save over it

  • The whole point of perspective View is that it is not tracked, saved, or added to the undo stack - it's a working camera that you can use without interfering with other actions. If you need to keep a view, create a new camera and use the option to copy the active view (which would be perspective at that point).

And there is an option in Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences for Mac) in the Scene tab to have DS create a Default Camera, if you want.
