How to make clothes less skin-tight?

Hi,

When using some clothes and the character is particular muscular the clothes become VERY skin-tight on the body. Even when the item is supposed to be rigid, like a vest or an armour it ends up literally counturing the pecs or other muscles :///

Is there a way to fix this? I tried with the fit control but it doesn't really help much. Thanks!

If it is dForce able you can set contraction-expansion to something like 110%.

If not you can add a push modifier, but you might still have some weird shapes in the clothing from the projected morphs, that might be improved ´by turning smoothing up.

Else youcan take it into a modeller and create a dedicated morph for the character. It can be used to replce the projected morph.

Recommend the tutorial series from MikeD : http://www.mikededes.com/making-fbms-for-daz-studio/ , esp. No. 2 to 3, use Lowpoly mesh to update the 'skin-tight' clothing.

  • A Smoothing Modifer may help - though you may want to set it to Generic rather than base Shape Matching, otherwise it may cause poke-through.
