Genesis 8 to 9 poses, clothing, props?

So I finally purchased a couple Genesis 9 figures.

But most of the content I own is for G8, so ...

1. The clothes from Genesis 8 seem to autofit nicely to G9, so no problem there.

2. For the G8 poses, which I have so many, I purchased the G3/G8 to G9 Pose Converter. Works really well. So no problem there either.

3. The only thing that doesn't want to cooperate is the props, like a pose where the figure is holding a prop like a book or a gun. Do I need to move the props into position manually??

Any help with item 3 or other insights would be greatly appreciated.

    There has never been a converter for those types of items for any generation as far as I remember. I usually just unselect the figure, then load the prop and position into place and then parent and save it to the library for later use.

    That's what I thought. Just wanted a reality check. Thank you.

    At least the clothing fits nicely. I can deal with the props, although it is a bit of extra time to position them and can be quite frustrating.

    RiversoftArt ever developed a series of Props and Poses Converters but has not yet provided one for G9. So for the time being, just manually adjust parenting and position of a Prop, then convert the Pose with that script.

    There is a problem with some dresses; not every item will autofit correctly.

    Thank you. 

    DAZ used to email replies to a forum question. Seems like it doesn't happen now. Even clicking the gold star doesn't send emails. Urgh.

    umm yeah RiverSoftArt has some prop converters but not to G9 yet

    Same here - first G9 purchases too and I also bought the pose converter. My main disappointment is that G8 skins don't work on G9 and the workarounds to get them to "work" seem so cumbersome.

    Totally agree with you ,I haven't gotten notifications since June
