With the ExpansiveAPESuit for Genesis 8 Male, the thumbnails in Smart Content show the shoulder lights in emmissive yellow.
But the actual suit does not emit yellow here, it just appears more like a red foil material. Could it be that the product does not include these lights as shown?
So confused. I've looked through all the materials and there is nothing to enable this. Not in the parameters tab either.

Probably does not appear in iray preview, and needs a full render
Looks like a small oversight. The back insets get the yellow glow, and the chest insets share all the same bitmaps, so you can simply copy the surface from one to the other. (The included preset does not set the Emissive channel for the Chest Insets).
Select the TorsoArmor in the scene tab. Switch to the Surface Selection Tool. Open the Surfaces tab, and select the "Back Insets" surface. Right-click -> Copy Selected Surface(s). Right-click on "Chest Insets" -> Paste to Selected Surface(s). All done.
You can save as a material preset for future use (new, or overwrite the original). If you do, repeat for the "!APE All Default Red.duf" hierarchical material preset for the whole suit.
Thank you. I will try that. Much appreciated!
Those areas actually look like vents up close, so it may be the PA had them glowing at one point, but may have changed the appearance before release, and then forgot to update the thumbnails. That's my best guess, because the promo images on the product page do not show them glowing. Only the Smart Content thumbnails show the yellow glow.
True. None of the textures in the expansion have any glowing bits. I always wonder why so many combat outfits have all these lights to help target the one wearing it. "I dare you! I double da-"
First thing i consider after coverage of the body, fully closed helmet and such. Emissive seems cinematic somehow, but hard to argue for with realism. Luckily such can be changed.
(It may make sense in a non-stealth environment, like parade or work contexts, where visibility actually might matter, e.g. for safety reasons. Then turning on the lights certainly makes sense.)
I use DAZ models for painting reference mostly. But I can see for stuff where 3D render is the end-product that it might not make sense to advertise "here I am with a bunch of lights." The extended textures for this product are mostly camo patterns and no lights so that is better for combat situations for sure.
Anway, really amazed with this APESuit armor. Fits all models, including Genesis 9 really well. Even the helmet fits perfectly. I added the suit to Niketa (G9 Lioness) and it looks amazing.
