Music and light hearted books will be fondly remembered as well as environmental work. From what I've read, Jimmy was also very approachable to fans and easy to work with professionally. Great all around guy who will be sorely missed.
Respectful condolences to surviving family members, friends & loved ones.
I'm not a what would pass as a fan exactly, but there are a couple of songs I really like... and Margaritaville always reminds me of my uncle who decided if he was going to suffer from Vietnam related PTSD, at least he'd do it with a view, so he ditched Connecticut and moved to Saint Thomas to live his best life... unfortunately over time it all caught up with him health-wise and he moved on from this world...
Well, here's to hoping the king of the parrotheads is enjoying a cheeseburger in paradise.
I lived in Florida during his peak popularity and could relate to his aura, and liked and enjoyed many of his songs. Many years later I discovered the "Margaretaville" restaurant at "Universal: City Walk" in Orlando and made it a must visit again whenever I get down there anymore. Not that it's anything super special or "better" than other Margaretaville restaurant franchise, but it's just a nice memorable, tropical vibe consistent with his image, for a lunch and maragareta after this old man toddles around either end of the adjoining amusement complexes "Islands Of Adventure" or "Universal Studios, Orlando". Good restaurant, good drink. A place to rest, cool down, and get charged up, and pretend to live an island lifestye if only for lunch.
I quite enjoyed Margaritaville & Cheeseburger in Paradise when they were on the radio (and Fins as well). I guess he's now enjoying a Cheeseburger in Paradise.
There is a Margaretaville restaurant in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville park. It's not the Dollywood park but another near by that is smaller with a giant ferriswheel. Never eaten there though.
I have a very fond memory from years ago of a small tropical drink cafe, the riverwalk in San Antonio, on a Thursday afternoon, with an amazing blonde that I just met, lots of tequila and Margaritaville playing. Thanks for the memory Jimmy, RIP!
...OK what happened to the upper bar with all the formatting selections and why is this appearing in plain text mode with no formatting when I enter a post? Even line breaks don't work. Seems they try to fix one thing and break something else.

Ah, but it's probably just A/B/C testing that's hard to do off-line. Yeah, that's the ticket! But have you tried rebooting. I hear it cures everything, even pimples.
But seriously, have you tried clearing your browser cache? They're changing code so fast that perhaps you got behind the curve. Or perhaps it's just a Microsoft thing.
But neither of us realized we're still in the Jimmy Buffett thread, not the current incarnation of the "Complaint" thread.

...true, but it first happened here. Deffintiely seems someone at Daz apparently blew out a flipflop. for a moment or two.
