HOW to get RID of chosen IRAY light set in scene?

Okay, I have a variety of IRAY lights. And the problem is, when I'm using IRAY - I cannot figure out how to change from one light set to another, without the recent one still there.

This is the problme with IRAY... it is NOT user friendly. I want to learn it so bad, but it's not set up to just figure out. Since you cannot SEE the lights in the scene tab... how do you REMOVE them from the scene tab area if it's NOT the one you like using? Basically so the scene is clean of it to use another?

Delete them from the Scene pane...

You can see the light in the scene and adjust their position and intensity.
Just set your display to "NVIDIA Iray" instead of "Texture Shaded" or whatever you are currently using.

They are NOT showing in the Scene pane thought that's what I said above... they aren't there.

? - what does that have to do with the light set I'd put in the scene? I cannot see the lights added at all... no where in the scene tab are there lights showing.

If they aren't showing in the scene tab, then have a look in on the "Render Settings" tab to see what lighting mode you have set.

"Dome and Scene" will use the map is in the "Environment Map" slot,,(If the slot is empty, then iray will use the "Sun-Sky" settings.) in addition to the lights you put in your scene.

"Sun-Sky" will give you a "time-of-day" Sunlight. The scene lights will not be used in this mode.

"Scene Only" will ony use the lights you have put in the scene.

I think what you are looking for will be the "Scene Only" mode. This mode will give you just the light sets in your scene and no other source of light.

If it is a mesh light, it probably won't be looking like a light in the scene pane.  If it is actually part of an item (like a candle flame), then you would need to turn off the emission settings for it, because you won't be able to delete it without deleting the item.
