Hansmar – very nice render, I wouldn’t have thought of using a cube for the water, cool idea.

The crater and hills are from the Craters Construction Kit byCriss333 (ShareCg) material and lighting from Deep Space 1, David’s and Bunyip02’s space ships.

Thanks Horo for the file, you saved me a lot of work.

In front of the camera the EWL (extreme wide-angle lens) from Lenses and Filters and covers 190° in the diagonal. The building is Alchemy Chasm, on the podium Victoria 3 RR LE and below two ps_ch102_Troll. The rays are Frozencry's Streaming Rays (free at bryce5.com, Materials p3). Lighting by two Spotlights and ten Radials. This is a remake from a Bryce 5.01 render from almost 20 years ago (Nov 2005).

Dan Whiteside: A very strange demon, a kind of organic-mechanical hybrid.

Horo: Your three lakes are great, the textures are great, the exterior one gives the idea of a milky liquid. The landscape is very well detailed, the mountain range in the background gives it a touch of realism. Your new version of the render from almost two decades ago is great, it has an air of a secret chamber or something like that.

Hansmar: I liked the medieval-type scene with stone houses. The landscape and its textures are very special, they have an almost organic touch.

mermaid010: Nice space scene, the crater gives me the idea that it is about to erupt.

I add the last render I made, which is a variation of the previous one seen from another angle and with a different terrain and background, titled Oily ocean with fossilized debris:

Teobaldo - thank you. This version looks also very impressive.

Horo, I like the use of wide angle lens.  It gives the image a sweeping, epic feel.  The red lighting denotes 'heat' to me.

Teobaldo, wow, nicely done space/alien scene.  The ground texture makes one wonder if it is safe to walk on or will we drown.

    NGartplay - thank you.

The building is Alchemy Chasm with the Al-Khimia texture, up in the dome a radial. In the centre Victoria 3 RR LE with the Fairy outfit lit by four radials, and near by two Songbird. Ambient light by an HDRI from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies. The shadow pattern in the foreground by the sun shining through a window. This is also a remake from a Bryce 5.01 render from almost 20 years ago (Nov 2005).

Horo - both your remakes are excellent, the effect with the EWL in the TalktoTrolls is awesome.

Teobaldo - beautiful scene, thanks for the comment.

Mermaid010, Your sci-fi / crater render has a great sky.

Horo, very good large terrain render. Both renders of the Alchemy Chasm are outstanding. Wonderful use of the lens in the first one. Great use of the light rays.

Teobaldo, your second oiled render is amazing.

mermaid - that looks just great. I first though this was a coast, but the "wave" at left could not be water. So this is the land - and it does look like a toxic wasteland. Again, a very nicely done scene.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 5,633

Thanks Horo, actually I was surprised by the result because it's the same material on the 3 terrains.

Double stacked terrain self made in the Terrain Editor with materials from High Resolution Terrains 1 and 4. Three BTO-trees with my own materials about 100 times instanced in the Instancing Lab. The fog is Haze, a bit of ambient light by an HDRI and the key light by the sun.
