Measure Metrics - calculating bodyweight of characters?

Hi,

with Measure Metrics, as far as I see, you get length and circumfences.
But as we all know, our body is not a combination of cylinders. Arms and legs: that may work. But for the biggest part - the torso - with shoulders, big belly, etc. ?

Did someone those calculations? Which assumption did you use?
Or is there a "hidden" possibility within Measure Metrics?

  • When I have to do this, I don't use Measure Metrics.

I export an OBJ of the character to Blender, where I use Blender's 3D printing toolbox to calculate the volume of the mesh, and then multiply by 0.985 kg/litre, the average density of human tissue.

So you print a 1:1 model an mearure it? cheeky

    Just a joke.

Does blender's printing toolbox have a volume output? Pretty interesting.
And yes - interesting for all of us: The factor of 0.9... should be a reason why you can't drown in water. I know it, cause I can swim very well. And even if I don't move in the water, a small part of my head ever stays over the surface - as long as I don't exhale too much.
But although a lot of people still drown. crying
