Modular track and driving clothes
Hi again! I'm back with more dumb questions.
I'm working on making some renders to be used for racing themed visual novel and I got https://www.daz3d.com/karting-building-track while back thinking the track was modular and I could make my own track but sadly it's not. Even various elements that you'd think would be separate pieces, like the red and white curbs, are all one object. So, my first question is: Is there way (inside D|S) to separate the various elements so I can use them where and how I want? I think it could probably be done with Blender but... I'm pretty hopeless when I try to use for anything. If you suggest Blender or something like it could you also link to step-by-step tutorial for doing it? Or, my second question would be: Is there modular track system available somewhere? It doesn't have to be kart size, I'm fine with scaling things up even if I need to make new textures.
Then my third question is: Has anyone made decent racing suit for G8F? With helmet would be nice, but I have helmet that I think can make work.
And last, my fourth question: Are any good racing themed environments for D|S out there? I prefer newer (Iray) over older (3Delight or Poser format) but can make either work. I have few already, but this community always has so many good ideas I'd love to hear what others say.
Thanks in advance for any help!

This Fermion racing helmet comes with some good options (full-face v.s. open) and colors but is intended for G8M. Should be able to fit it to G8F esaily enough though.
The racing suit from the same PA is also for G8M but could be applied to G8F with possible texture stretching in the chest depending on the proportions of your character(s). It's not quite as "realistic" in the sense it's not covered with sponsor logos, which may or may not be a problem for your story.
Both of these are Daz+ items and go on sale pretty regularly.
Can't think of a modular track kit though, sorry.
Thank you for your reply.
the karting track is a pain.
I have it and the last time I opened it haif the stuff didnt even line up correctly.
you could do as I have done and chop it into parts (this will help with rendering as you can load only the parts you need).
have a look at the geometry editor. there are lots of help vids on youtube and have a look in the forums.
have fun
There are a couple of really well done race track setting over at Rendo by PowerAge and TruForm, though they're definitly way overscaled for karting. if outside is okay... and most kart tracks are outside... what I'd recommend would be Ken Gilliands Pixel Downs Horse track over at Rendo. The dirt surface would have to be replaced with concrete or lacktop, but other than that, it's the right scale and has retaining fences. I'd bulk it out with props and buildings cribbed from the carting track you already have and https://www.daz3d.com/top-fuel-dragster-race-track to make it looke more auto-centric, but that would certainly pass muster with most karting groups.
As for the racing uniform... how old are your drivers supposed to be? I know there are older karters out there, but the majority in the U.S. are between 8 and 15, and at that age I think https://www.daz3d.com/fermion-racing-suit-for-genesis-8-males (without the head sock) would comfortably fit a child or young teen female without any issues.
Disclaimer on all of the above - I've only been karting a few times, so most of my thoughts above are based primarily on reading and watching the Go-Karting manga/anime Capeta, and watching kids at tracks next to a big arcade/mini-golf/karting complex I used to go to.
So https://www.daz3d.com/fermion-racing-suit-for-genesis-8-males
will fit G8 females no problem same for the helmet
did a quick render (bigger image than the one below

hope some of this helps
