After installing DAZ Studio 4.9 Beta, Stardome background no longer visible.

In DAZ Studio 4.8 Pro, the "Stardome" product displayed perfectly as the background in the Viewport window.

Now, after installing the DAZ Studio 4.9 Public BETA, the "Stardome" background is entirely black in both the 4.9 and 4.8 versions of Studio Pro.  The background will appear in the final render, but not in the preview mode of the Viewport window.

Is there a setting that was changed or is this the result of a new library being added that is no longer compatible with the "Stardome" product?

    Follow-up:

I've attached screen-shots of the problem.

I always use the "Texture Shaded" drawing mode, but since yesterday, after installing DAZ Studio 4.9 BETA, the DigiVault Stardome prop is now black in "Texture Shaded" mode.

If I switch to "Cartoon Shaded" or "Wire Texture Shaded" the Stardome is visible in the viewport.

Just to check...switch over the the Geometry Edito, select the dome and then right click in the viewport, select Geometry Editing > Flip Normals.

If it shows up after doing that, file a bug report.

    Thanks for the advice.

I tried flipping normals, but that didn't resolve the issue.

So far, I've done the following:

    1. Uninstalled the Studio 4.9 BETA, leaving only the 4.8 Studio Pro installed.

    2. Re-imported the metadata for the DigiVault Stardome.

    3. Re-imported "all" metadata for all products.

All to no avail.  It appears that the installation of Studio 4.9 BETA has permanently altered the environment for "any" version of DAZ Studio currently installed.  Could a specific shared .DLL be the culprit?

That can happen in DS4.8 too, for some domes and is linked to the 'Per Pixel Shading' option under Preferences> Interface

I just discovered the strangest thing.

The Stardome "Diffuse Color" was somehow set to black.  Changing it to white resolved the problem in the "Texture Shaded" draw mode.

During the installation of the 4.9 BETA, I noticed that the installation process notified me that it was "updating" numerous product metadata files.

Now, however, I have to go back through all of my saved scenes that used the Stardome and manually change the Stardome "Diffuse Color" to white.

    Thanks, Simon.

    You're right!

The "Per Pixel Shading" option was set to "on".  When I changed it to "off", everything returned to normal with or without the "Diffuse Color" set to white for the Stardome.
