Do you accept virtual hugs? Because wow. Thank you. That's so much easier than doing the multiple tab meta mambo. Though I don't see it in the Smart Content folder, but I do notice it in Products. Though in messing around with the Smart Content pane, I checked out "Basic View" instead of "Standard" and fell in love with how many more product icons fit in the space I gave it. Edit: Oh, you added pictures. That... You're the best.
Glad to be of assistance. I've learned a lot in the forums that I frequent thanks to other users either posting good-to-know info or answering questions. Smart Content only has the option for tags in Products but not in Files. There's so much to learn in Daz Studio and similar software. At this point, comprehensive documentation is likely never going to be forthcoming because it would be too lengthy and constantly out of date as updates and new features are added. Press on though.
Tags belong to files, not products.

Thanks Richard. I also somehow earlier missed that one can enter tags from the Files tab of Smart Content.
@Korpin.Sulat - You have three places where you can enter a tag on a file:
Here's what I've been doing. Maybe it could help you. I hate thse vanity folders, too. But sometimes it is useful to know the PA that created a thing (like if you need to find the texture folder something has). So I remove all the nested folders down to just one and name it the name of the item with the PA's name AFTER it. So that pirate outfit is called "Pirate Whatever Jasmineskunk" or "Pirate Whatever JS" (pretending I'm the PA here) That lets me sort it and have the PA's moniker without that ID getting in the way of my search.
...there's a fellow on DA (Kurt Lundqvist) who still does that albeit with images that he first renders in Daz. Mostly his work sporting themed but it's very well done and he gives them more of an "oil paint " style.
As indicated, that's pretty much what I do, except I put the vendor designator first. No special reason why.
The fact I have been using studio for a year now and did not even know this has existed... well this just shows another problem :D
Features like this should be more more visible, promoted and enhanced!
,,,same of us have been dealing with it for many years. Hence why I set u custom library/runtime structure I still make use of older content that goes into the Poser runtime structure and that was even more of a mess as Daz textures would end up in the Poses folder instead of Materials which makes no sense at all. I grouped them mile newer content with a folder for Materials as a "child" folder to the main one. for each item. Yeah a lot of bloody work but it makes things so much easier.
What goes into the Data, Geometry (for old content), and textures folders should not be moved or you will get broken path errors when loading items into a scene..
In case you (or someone else) didn't already know about it, the name of an author will appear on the tooltip when you let your mouse cursor hover over an icon:
