_trx vs _dpc files

Hi,

I purchased the Addison files last week. The purchase came with a _trx file and _dpc file. Does anyone know what the difference is between these files? If I load the _trx file and then try to load the _dpc file it uninstalls the first file and vice versa.

Also, neither files seems to create icons in my "Actors,Wardrobe and Props" tab. If this because there isn't any metadata?

    That happened to me as well. The dpc one is supposed to be for V4, but if you just install the trx one, there are fits for Genesis and V4 I think.

    EDIT:

    This has happened before with other installers, I will look into it, and let you know. I just installed the trx one, and then cancelled the dpc (V4) one as I don;t use it very often anyway, but I can't find a V4 character for Addison yet.

    Normally the .trx file is for DS and the .dpc is for Poser. However this is not alwasy the case, sometimes you need to install both in DS. If both files are around the same size then you should be OK with just using the one, but if they are different sizes then you need to install both the .dpc and the .trx

    In this case it is a character for Genesis AND Victoria 4, so the trx one will be for Genesis, and the dpc one should be for V4 I think. You can't install both files anyway because of the error mentioned, but I can't find Addison for V4 anywhere on my PC.

    Also, the Metadata doesn't work either.
