cleavage problem

I got weird distortions in the cleavage area on every clothing, I apply to my character. It looks like a big bulge between the character's breasts.
I just can't see anything on the character itself that could cause it.
Picture 1 shows the character's cleavage, picture 2 shows, what it does to clothings.
Any idea, what's causing it and how to fix it?

That seems a projection morph... did you dial any projection morph on the figure, like Breasts Helper, Fit Control or something ?
When an unsupported morph is projected into a fitted item DS goes by proximity - the fitted item, barring things like rigidity maps, tries to maintain its relationship with the nearby vertices of the base shape. I would imagine that the morph you are using is leaving the sternum alone, but then pulling some of the edges of the breast in before pushing the fuller areas out, ior aside, and the clothing relfects that. You may be able to use a Smoothing Modifier, probably set to Generic rather than original shape matching, or a dform or push modifier with a weight map to fix it.
Select the cloth.
Look at the parameter pane > Currently used.
The culprit is probably one of the dials.
Also make the hidden dials appear.
No, there is nothing. Only my character name is listed in the cloth parameter tab as projected.
Something's wrong. This issues started as I tried to scale down my character's breast size.
I also use breast reduction and get similar issues, but not quite as bad.
I use Fit Control on the clothing to fix it. If you're using Genesis 9 (I don't think there's a Fit Control for that yet) maybe Mesh Grabber?
Well yeah, I can fix it on the clothing, but it is just bothering me, that there is a "bug?", where I just don't know where it is coming from.
I made myself a deformer set, that adresses this issue, so I don't need to sculpt a new morph on each and every piece of clothing.
Have you tried opening up the dev version of the affected figure and resetting it? If there is a BreastHelper/FitControl morph with a non-zero default then I don't think it shows up as currently used but is still technically being used.
It is a quite normal problem on characters with smaller breast, or you are dialing the breast down, if there isn't a dedicated morph for that character/breast morph in the clothing.
Severals way to fix it. One method I sometimes use, if the clothing is dForce capable is to start the simulation with norrmal sized brests and then dial them down during simulation.
Very cool. I never got to grops with deformers for some reason. Mesh Grabber, however, was a total game-changer for me. Fast and easy and I can 'Save' the work I do as a morph, which can be a temporary morph if I don't save it to the clothing. This way I can dial it throughout the animation. Awesome!
Projected morphs are hidden, you would need to enable Show Hidden Properties to see them (option menu>Preferences) but dialling it down would simply stop it following the morph shape at all.
I rarely rarely dial small breasts or use character with small breasts but this time I know they can bring such a problem on some garments (with no supportive FBM or PBM) as felis said. A PA has no way to provide all FBMs/PBMs on a garment, so...
I also love Mesh Grabber, it may fix OP's case but not mine, well dForce / Smoothing Modifier cannot bring good mesh either. The best way is always to fix it with ZB or Blender - by using the smoothing brush.
