Converting hair from G8M/G9M to G3M?

Heya all, I'm looking at some really nice hairs I want for my ol Genesis 3 character, but trying to convert some using the native in-DAZ converter has been... not exactly results desired? Is there a product that might make conversions better, and maybe even able to keep hair morphs, too?? I really want the Ashendun hair for G8M to work nicely with my G3M character. I found a nice clothing converter but it doesn't seem like I can use it for hair. I'm also nervous to buy any hairs before confirming if they'll play nicely >_>

Just parent the hair and use the scale translate to fit in place.
Also, follow-up question: Does hair converted from G8M work with its morphs if converting it for use with G9M? (I haven't converted anything in years, hence why I'm asking).
This would be nice except you can't translate fitted hair....
Dont fit it, as in the fit to sense. Sorry when I said fit it I meant just get it to the correct place and size for the figures head
Then how exactly do you get it to fix properly? This is my problem! I don't want seams and floating mesh and such.
make sure your figure is in the zero position. Load the hair -do not fit to - do not use autofit. Parent hair to figures head. Use the translate dials to put the hair in the correct position. Some hairs have adjustment morphs use these if neccassary.
Ashendun hair is by Aprylish she still supplies adjustment morphs.
I don't have that hair so I used Orson Hair.
I used the y translate to move the hair up and the ear height adjustment to fit to the ears better and a bit of X scale( i had to have hidden properties showing to do this).
Smoothing modifier can also help
Sorry, what smoothing modifier? Where do I find it and what is its purpose, exactly?
Thank you for the link. I have another question for you, since you're here! I was drawn to the Ashendun style because it's the closest thing to a typical elven (or "Legolas-type") hairstyle I can find. Do you plan on releasing one that's more... near in style, that stereotypical elven, and perhaps a bit longer? That's what I really want for my character! (Although the Ashendun is good for those more relaxed days off XD)
I was unaware of the turorial but it pretty much covers what I was trying to explain.
smoothing modifier is a way of getting rid of poke through etc I'm sure theres a tutorial out there somwhere that explains it. Perhaps try google.
Edit: Nvm I found it ^^"
if you want the hair to move with poses you will need to set the hip to floor level 0.0.0 and bake rotations before parenting it to the head
Pixelsizzle has a fantastic tutorial on converting older hair props and making them work with dForce.

This isn't a product, you just use in built features of Daz Studio. I've used it to get nice conforming results with my older Genesis 3 characters and add realistic posing effects to any hair. Hope it helps!
I've never had to do this.
Wow thank you! I will look into it. :)
