In the Amelia 9 bundles I've seen this promo image used. It looks very different than the rest of the promo photos in the bundle for Amelia 9. I really wish Daz would consistently use the specific character being sold in the bundle in all the promo photos so there is no confusion. If this is not Amelia, anyone know which character this actually is? Thanks in advance.

This is not Amelia, but a custom character for G8. She's not available.
Well that sucks since I personally felt this was the best looking character in all the promo photos. Thanks for clearing that up.
If that's not Amelia, I find it really questionable of DAZ to use that picture for the thumbnail of her Pro Bundle.
I agree. Not only is it a thumbnail for the bundle but it is also the main thumblenail. I have the bundle in my cart based partly on that thumbnail and I am now considering removing it.
It looks like Amelia to me, where did you get the information that it was a custom character?
My guess is that the image used Amelia's younger shape, for which there are no promos available for a reason only known to DAZ. I don't have the bundle, so maybe someone that has can confirm this.
Because he knows the artist who did the image and it was being discussed, with the actual artist, on another site, about how they couldn't get the character so created their own. So no, your guess is wrong, it's not Amelia, it's not even a percentage of Amelia, younger or older.
To confirm, the promo artist confirmed that it is not Amelia. (In fact, it's a Genesis 8 morph, not Genesis 9).
The image was mistakenly chosen out of the individual promos by the advertising team (they don't have any special insight into how submitted promo images were made), but they were informed and the main Pro bundle promo image has now been replaced.
Smells like some issues with QA/QC accountability at Daz.
I noticed that render too! She looks like Adrienne Barbeau .
I can't help but laugh that the model in the original pic is Genesis 8 instead of 9.
There are multiple Sigourney Weaver look a likes for Genesis 8. You can probably take Mousso's and get pretty close.
BTW, while the bundle is fixed, the original Sigourney Weaver-ish pic is still on the sale page where the bundle is shown.

As I understood it, the promo image was made for the hair in the bundle. Was probably just a human mistake that it ended up as the promo picture for the whole thing.
I am still seeing it as the main promo image on the Pro Bundle sale page.
I don't think it is the same image - very close but not the same.

I should have seen it immediately: Amelia 9 has a wide bulbous nose where the unknown G8 beauty has a finely chiselled nose; she has those typical squinted G9F droopy eyes, while the G8 woman has perfectly normal, beautiful eyes, etc. I bought the bundle mainly because of the promo image, so already feel a bit mislead. Well, I'm sure I can do something with the rest of the contents of the Pro bundle.
By the way, you only have to look at the mix pictures ('60% Amelia 9, 70% Joan 9' etc) to realise how much the female Genesis 9 core characters resemble each other. You can hardly see a difference, no matter which character was mixed in. Angela 9 and Kala 9 are the only female characters that stand out in the series.
I don't get it: Genesis 9 has a lot of interesting male characters by now, so it can't be the skill. Do they think female characters sell themselves anyway, or why is so little care taken to create individual characters?
Amelia and Joan are so similar you could believably use Joan as a slightly younger version of Amelia with no alterations. Just keep the eye color, the eyebrows and the translucency levels similar.
Thorne's G9 figures already were wasting this figure base potential with their repetitive sameness, but I think Amelia 9 is so far the lowest point of this generation. Because she's supposed to be realistic so all the G9 Feminine repetition stands out more.
The new image is G9 redo version, which unfortunately ends looking worse (LOL!) than G8 one (skin textures look better, but that's about it). Not the best sales pitch if you ask me.
It does look as if Daz tried to capitalize on a video game premiere trying to release something with a similar theme so the bundle was thrown together with whatever they managed.
