Who else went nuts during the 2023 PA sale?

Yerp I went overboard during the PA sale. I now have every HID & Mousso G9 character that was on sale. Oh my aching bank account. I still have 20 tokens to use by the end of the day today. Ouch. Now the DAZ + sale comes along. More Sci-F9i stuff to buy...

me
a little bit
spent more during the pa sale than the whole rest of the year combined
Not quite the same for me, but I spent more in September than in any other 2 months of this year. Got to over $51. Not much over, but over. October is going to be sparce.
Regards,
Richard.
Not really nuts, but I certainly took advantage of the sale.
I confess to nothing...
Let's just say, "nuts" might be an understatement. I lean toward "hog wild" in my case.
Considering I spent a total of $60 in 2023 through August, then I guess I went nuts. Purchased a $400 gift card for $320 and still have $300 left on the card. I virtually stopped buying because Daz inflated prices and the new stuff is copies of old stuff I already have.
Spent more then the previous months, yes, but I can't complain. Got lots of what I needed and more. Amount was no issue
I emptied my bank account and filled my drive
will not be concerned if the DAZ+ sale turns out to be a fizzler TBH
more concerned some new must have item will be released at a crazy discount because of it and I will have to wishlist it
Me too. A little bit. LOL
I was very logical in my purchasing. Stuff I needed, stuff that was well made, and stuff that filled a gap in functional uses. Or atleast that's what Im telling the accountant.
Yeah, I spent too much. I'm afraid to check how much.
Not going to confess anything
Me! My real life clothes are full of holes and need replacing, but I brought Daz outfits instead? (And I have a Marvelous Dedigner subscription I should be using!)
i overdid for sure, but got quite a bit of stuff that I've looked at for awhile. Its not often you get products at 80% plus off. it for sure takes the bite out of the rising prices.
Day 1 of the DAZ+ sale is an oinker for sure. The hair at 50 cent isnt too bad but the way its structured overall its not as good as the PA sale. The 3.99 to 2.49 DAZ+ thing is ok but there is only 1 thing I even remotely would use and I think its falling out of my cart.
My $20 cart has 20 items in it at 94% off and I'm only using one token for it - Not that bad.
Oh, stop. You're going to make me look.
Bought a reasonable amount but I really don't buy much outside of the big sales, just wishlist thinngs for sale time.
Nope. Spent $17 on the second to the last day. That's it.
I haven't checked the dollars, but I installed 50 gigabytes of content last month. I've also had to start uninstalling things to make room.
Opps!! Wrong thread.
However, I can go ahead and comment. Unfortunately I was out, often with no cell/intenet access, and working crazy hours during the PA sale. I did pick up a few things, but didn't overspend. Maybe it was actually fortunate that I wasn't able to participate very much, I probably saved a lot.
I didn't think there would be much to buy since I have most of what I need for G8 characters and I don't have any G9. Still, there were some props and environments that I was tempted by and, yes, a few more G8 items. Thankfully the temptation is over now as the new sale is for DAZ+ subscribers and I canceled mine a month ago.
I definitely went a little bit overboard for my doing ;)
And since we're talking about the sale, I'd like to mention my pleasant surprise and plain out admiration for the fact that even people like me who have zero interest in Genesis 9 could still grab a lot of awesome goodies! IMO that's just fair.
Anyway, some new sceneries like a beautiful beach and cliffhouse, several new hairstyles, an awesome mysterious lady and the sale also convinced me to grab Fluidos. While it has a bit of a learning curve it's a lot more accessible than Parsis is; I'm already getting some nice results!
I didn't go as nuts as I feared I'd gone! The product library only grew by two pages, but since I usually never even buy much during the PA sale that's kind of nuts. I got a few OOT hairs that had been wishlisted for years, finally got that elusive Nomad outfit I already had the extra textures for, got my dudes some duds, and stocked up on small props.
Let's just say that I added a little over 20 pages to my product library and leave it at that. Sounds crazy, but between tokens, sales, orange bars, discounts on gift cards, and coupons, a lot of the content I was buying was over 90% off. `
I spect about $75 I think, and I was planning none but this PA sale is always a good time to pick up new PA stuff you missed first time around.
So I managed to get 263 items at 83% or more off for the month of September. That spending was partially assisted by my lack of spending during the let's improve the DAZ store period where my spending managed to almost hit absolutely zero (chilling!!!).
Just a little, lol. I figured that I wouldn't be buying much of anything during the DAZ+ sale, though. I'm no longer a member, in part because that sale has become so convoluted and the deals less attractive (or requiring too much effort to actually get). The PA sale was straightforward and I had an orange bar every single day.
Lots of what I bought were older items since I still like G2 and 3DL (plus I have a 1070Ti and Iray has been too much for it for years, ever since they started optimizing for newer architecture), although I did pick up plenty of more recent things. I wish I'd spent less, of course, but I anticipate it being my last purchase for a good long while.
They've trained us now to say "Only 80% off? No sale!"
Well, I'll pay 70% off for a new release... :) But yeah, this is what happens when a sales team becomes so predictible. I actually ended up re-buying today's door buster (jeffersonAF's splashpack) even though I already bought it a while back, as putting it in the cart took my order down by a few more bucks. Was it supposed to do that? Not sure, but what-evs.
