RTX 3060 12GB OC or 3060 Ti 8GB? (for still images, not 4K)

I'm just starting with Daz and wanting to do some still renders at the default resolution (2048x2048) or slightly less. I currently have the original RTX 2060 6GB, and 32GB system RAM. I'm looking to upgrade the graphics card for rendering purposes as it's a bit sluggish.
I realize VRAM is important, but I don't know how often I'll hit that limit. I foresee maybe 4-5 G8 characters maximum in the frame at once, but usually only 2-3. I'm not sure if it's better to get the 8GB Ti card for faster general operation (and perhaps use some optimising tricks), or a factory-overclocked 3060 and have that 12GB breathing space.
Any thoughts?

Breathing space every time for me. As your scenes become more complex you'll need it. I always say, the scene that doesn't fit in VRAM takes a lot longer to render (infinity) than one that does.
As Windows, DS, the scene and the needed working space are taking about 4GB's of VRAM when rendering Iray, the 12GB 3060 leaves about twice as much VRAM for your geometry and textures than a 3060 Ti would.
Do not even consider buying the 3060 Ti with only 8GB's
Hi. Go for the 12 GB and don't doubt it. No matter what most people say about ram, the reality is that the only thing that matters in DAZ and the only spec that will really speed up the program is VRAM.
I have 2 computers, one with a 3070ti, 8Gb, 40Gb of RAM, i9 12th gen and the other with a 3060 12 Gb, with 16 Gb in RAM, i5 10th gen. It's amazing how the computer with the 3060 overperforms the other one. Renders a bit faster, loads faster, doesn't get stuck easily, doesn't overloads with 2 Gen 9 chars and stop rendering with GPU.
Thanks everyone, I picked up a 3060 12GB.
