G8.1->G9 Conversion, Eye Blink Slider

While I am quite successful in converting G8.1 characters to G9, as much with Jay Versluis' method as with ManFriday's converter, one problem remains: The eye blink slider "over shoots". It is not a big problem, if I only use it to about 66% it is looking good enough. But I simply do not understand why it happens in the first place and if I could circumvent it anyhow.

Any ideas?

    It's a common issue on the converted result no matter it's G8->G9 or G9- >G8. For Eye Blink or Eyes Closed expressions, the vertex position of the corrective morphs will be changed after conversion, so you have to check and fix the relevant cbs or eJCMs if you do care about it...

    PS: The quickest way is fixing them in external application, e.g. Blender or ZB, with Symmetry, then update Left / Right corrective morphs by Attenuate.

    They'll need correctives to blink correctly. Fortunately this is fairly simple but tedious to set up.

    Convert two additional versions of the shape you're converting; one with the left eye closed and one with the right eye closed. Then follow the steps in Creating Morph Controlled Morphs to turn them into correctives.
