Problems about Daz studio Iray Render and restart

The problem of DAZ studio not automatically clearing memory has recently caused great trouble for some of my work.

First, it does not automatically clear the memory after rendering with IRAY, so rendering becomes very slow after rendering in DAZ studio or using iray preview. There are two solutions, one is to restart Daz studio, and the other is to manually click a cleanup Graphics card memory script.

Second, Daz studio may not be able to restart immediately after closing. Sometimes it takes a long time, or it may not wait at all and needs to restart Windows!

This problem becomes very serious when I need to render animations, or need to use the Render Queue tool to render several files. It may only render one or two frames, and then either becomes very slow or requires restarting Windows and Daz studio can continue to render, and I can't leave the computer at all to let it render a series of pictures properly.

About a year or two ago this wasn't prominent and I was pretty good at rendering animations and a bunch of files, it's basically this year that it got really bad and I don't know what's going on. . .

    This problem is obviously related to DS version and effects the latest versions.

    I'm using DS 4.15.0.2 with RTX 3060 12GB on W7 and while DS does leave scene related stuff in GPU VRAM after rendering is done with the rendered image saved and closed, I can keep rendering countless of times without the need to close DS between renders.

    It takes time for DS to close, and one can check with Task Manager when DS has actually closed. Mine takes 2-5 minutes to close depending on the scene that was open.
    If the closing process hangs, ie. doesn't close even in an hour, one may have unintended duplicate copies of miscellaneous morphs installed, which apparently confuse DS when cleaning the RAM.

    1) When click Render for the 1st time with a DS instance, there'll be two parts of VRAM consumption: NVIDIA Iray Engine + Scene (geometry + textures). The former ( consumption : 2 - 2.2GB ) will be only released when DS instance is closed. The latter (consumption: depends on the 'scene size' ) will be released when Render is saved or Render window is closed. OP may use GPU-Z to observe VRAM Usage and monitor 'which part' is not released...

    2) As for closing DS instance, it's a long story... You may open Task Manager to monitor, if a DS session could not be closed within 3 minutes (I myself have not experienced any case of closing time > 3 minutes with latest DS version GR/PB ), you may just manually kill the session.

    3) As for Render Queue, I rememeber there's a Kill option in older versions but now in v3.x, that option is gone. I rarely use such a plugin nowadays but you may check with ManFriday in the product commercial thread - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/602541/released-manfriday-s-render-queue-3-commercial/p4 ;
