Iray Preview Loops, Iray Render Hangs, DS unresponsive.

I have a scene that causes my Iray Preview to loop in a "Preparing Scene" phase, if I try to render it, it gets stuck on "Iray (Scene Update): Updating Section Objects" (see screenshots). When I try to get back to Texture Shaded from Iray Preview, DS freezes and becomes unresponsive, same goes for trying to exit rendering. How can I remedy this?

If you have an Nvidia video card and updated the driver recently, that could be the reason. The same thing happened to me after I updated the driver and finally, I had to reinstall the previous version for it to work correctly again.

Thanks, my drivers were from the beginning of september, I just updated them to see if that would help but it didn't. What are the best drivers for Daz Studio at the moment?

Edit: I also just noticed DS uses quite a lot of RAM with that particular scene, other scenes render and give a preview just fine. When shutting DS down after loading that scene, DS remains active in the background and won't shutdown and I am forced to "end process" DS in the Windows Taskmanager.

I found the culprit. I was the rug of Perfect Pinups: Film Noir Sitting Room. I think it's one of the material alternatives that was causing it.
