Blender Doesn't Keep Smoothed Mesh

So whenever I apply smoothing modifiers to clothes, then try to import the whole model to Blender with DAZ to Blender Bridge, the modifier doesn't carry over. It's set to base shape matching, and I've also attempted to bake the smoothed mesh to no avail.

Why not apply the smooth modifier in Blender to the clothes rather than in Daz.
Most of the time I use DDI now but used to use DTB a lot. DTB Bridge can keep and export Smoothing Modifier result. First, correctly setup the Resolution & SubD Level, then tick Show FBX Dialog when exporting and check the settings as the attached screenshots.
I tried that, and it doesn't seem to be working. When you say correctly set up the resolution and subD level, what do you mean?
i.e. the settings in Bake SubD Level should be in line with the settings on the figure you're gonna export.
It takes a lot more work, but at this point, I think I'm going to go with that for the time being.
Diffeomorphic bakes from the viewport, so to export the smoothing modifier you have to enable interactive update. It is the same if you export to obj.
