Good question, though if you know how to use Dforce, you could probably make some curtains. As for windows that have an open feature, sorry I can't help there at the moment.

  • Have a look through these links. Sorry, I can't check them right now, but you might find one there.

  • This is what you want:

Although a few years old now very few sets have even come close to matching the details or the level of realism in it. All your window needs are in there (and can be inserted as separate props into whatever you're creating) along with poseable blinds and curtains and even a lighting solution for interiors. Everything in this set can be manipulated as if it were real world. It's also modular so you can design your own apartments - the flexibility is huge. Grab some shaders and turn it from a slightly tired '90s western European style flat into a chic New York apartment, a grafitti strewn squat or a post-apocalyptic shelter.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The promos are really fun too.  You can tell it was probably released around Halloween or they like horror.

Yea, I'm a horror nut myself.  Have you watched The Fall of the House of Usher?  It's a bit gruesome but .... no spoilers from me!  LOL

That's just Europe being Europe. Large cat tree, check, TV demon, check, tasteless rug, check, space alien in cupboard, check, second toilet thing in bathroom that nobody knows how to use, check.

Seriously though, that's an impressive product, wishlisted for now but will purchase.

I have always thought, that is for washing ones feet wink

  • I've found these drapes to be very handy. They're a little resource-heavy so you can't really stock an entire house with them pre-installed, but I usually just add them to my scene wherever there's a need for them, let dForce do its thing, and I'm ready to render. There's a setting to tie the curtains back which is also a nice touch.

European-Style Apartment is a fantastic product that I will always happily rave about. You get eight rooms and they're all furnished and there's extra props on top of that and many of the props interactive with opening doors and such and it's entirely modular and and and... !!!

Don't forget the PA maintains it also. When the Ghost Light bug was fixed by nvidia and borked all our ghost lights, the PAs went in and updated all their sets. Any PA that responds to their commercial thread and Art Studio thread is a gem. They get my bucks everytime.

They're not for cleaning babies after a nappy event? Oh boy...

Absolutely. I'd love it if Roguey and Strangefate would produce more of these sets as their work has few peers. I honestly think they'd be good value at twice the price but I recall Roguey writing that it was quite easy to burn out creating them which I can perfectly believe.

I thought they were his and hers as men are apparently incapable of closing a lid.

The mentioned set is on sale at the moment and currently in my cart at a stupidly low price after stacking discounts.

A bidet can indeed be used to wash your feet, but its main intended use is to wash your genitalia and/or butt after going to the toilet or before/after sex.

never understood how one gets from loo to bidet without dripping

a hose jet on the toilet itself makes more sense,

I actually use a small watering can for number 1 with a frequently changed small towel to dry as urine gives me a rash if just dried with paper

one of the many joys of having hypersensitive skin

number 2 I just have a full on bath or shower afterwards

    You use toilet paper first.

There are "bidet add-ons" for toilets, they work pretty well. Well, except for washing your feet ;)
