I would say it's a good price: it's possible to get older Genesis 9 bundles cheaper, but if you want the bonus shapes on top of the character, you have no way to know if a better price will be available before they disappear (and it's unlikely to be that much cheaper: I would say it could be, at best, a couple of dollars cheaper, if and only you still have 8 tokens to take advantage of a slightly better discount compared to the 75% currently available).
A possible way to get a bundle cheaper is by using the '$6 off Daz Originals' coupon, which will work on any new Pro Bundles because they are Daz Originals product.
Without 8 tokens, it's $ 46, which change the decision process a bit, especially for someone who doesn't like the character that much.
I don't think it works: I added Dain 9 Pro Bundle first, then Death 9 Pro Bundle and the price of the former didn't change. And on your screenshot, all products have the exact same discount, which would not be the case with a 60% discount applied to Dain 9 Pro Bundle.
Having said that, $33 still feels like a fair price when you really want the bonus shapes
Just a guess, but looks like a CynderBlue character.
To get the male version I turned masculine up to 100% and turned off limits on feminine and turned it to -100%, turned up proportion height to make him a little taller.
Gagh... the title sounds like my iPhone's notifications... every day "death is coming for you"... it doesn't even say when or where I'm supposed to meet him... I was hoping this thread would lend a little insight... oh well, gotta go... someone is at the door...
A mix of Apocalypse + Oso Elder + Masculine + a few things
I've seen multiple Daz 9 Pro bundles that have additional morphs available only if you buy when it is first released. So for Death 9 there is Toon, Toned, and Elder available.
Is there a way to get these morphs later on if we don't buy when the assets first release?
Yeah, I think this is the bundle that finally sells me on G9. That was a sweet mixture of dark and sci-fi, and I fell in love. Also, so much bang for $130, holy poo...
Yeah, it said you can get thos with it until November the someteenth. It's up at the top of the promo page. I'd copy and paste it, but I already bought it so it doesn't show.
I love him so much. I'm going to have to save those settings as a preset
I've been waiting for an excuse to use the word psychopomp in a sentence.
Ah well, I'm happy enough. The problem is with bundles that if I liked them enough I bought them when they came out. Otherwise by the time they have a steep sales like this I already picked up the pieces I wanted, and the rest would just be clutter.
Ok, I also did a test at Death as a male using the settings that @Daventaki mentioned and created a redhead male Death (but not dead). I added some red tent to the eyebrows and red hair.
I will probably tweak things later, but gotta run now.
Spamming the thread with experiments in death…
Each of the versions that come with the Pro Bundle:
(Damn, that overarm position does not go down (up) well does it?)
Pictured next to elven Joan for my own interest. I think I've whinged about lack of ribs for every slim G9 core character, but Death has some rib definition! (I think I tried to give some ribs to Joan here using a separate product but they ended up looking a bit strange).
Death's materials are a touch more stylised compared to the majority of the core G9 lineup but very useful if you want a porcelain skin. I've used it here over Thalius with about 40% Apocalypse Add-On, Dain 9's normals for veins and extra manliness, and a few other dials. (He may be a eunuch depending on how gravity works down there). But overall, skin really lovely.
Romance cover test:
(Only about 15% rendered because I want the GPU back, so it's a bit grainy).
I used bits of Deathly Drape Outfit and Futuristic Worker Outfit but changed the materials to a another shader. I added more gravity to get them and the Arrival of Death Outfit to sit flatter. The waist chain on Deathly Drape is a bit distorted to my eye even pre-dforce, but maybe the blacksmith was dodgy. Arrival of Death Outfit has textures from the add on. I still really dig that main promo image.
There’s a product from another site I have called "Horrifying Draigr" and I wanted to compare it with the Apocalypse Add-On, both applied to a slimmed down MW Elisabeth via their respective dials. I also added the Death mats to both and the normal maps for Apocalypse Add-On to the version with that dialled in.
(Some of the normals might cause a bit of poke thru)
I really splurged on this Pro Bundle, paying about $44, just because it's so aligned with the types of things I like! I love how slender and knobbly she is. Face shape is not to my personal taste but I like to customise characters anyway so overall my inner teenage goth is very happy!!
The Grim Reaper was SO 2020 tho... :P

(I had to go look that up... I almost put "last year' ... its' been THREE YEARS since this bundle? dang)
I never listened too close, it might be scary.
For me there is two problems with those bundles, first they don't stack with other offers and second, one doesn't get any additional discount for items already owned.
Wow, @sid, those are great! Thanks for sharing! Now I wish I got the pro bundle, but I wasn't sure I'd use the other versions. The rib definition is really nice on the second one you posted.
@ Shimrian, I still see a woman, but you've managed another great portrait. No matter if male or female.
I like!
why do they throw in unrelated products into these pro bindles all the time. This one has 2 hair products that have no reason to be in there. At least throw in the usual pose product or the textures for the clothing or something...but it would be better if there were additional products fitting with the theme.
And to top it off, the two hairs are unusually similar in design, as are the two Death Outfits... Do you want to take odds on seeing something pop up in the next month or so that would have fit this set to a T? The way DAZ is running and gunning these Gen 10 Pro bundles out the door, it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that what went in the bundle just happened to be what happened to be available and ready to go.
I just downloaded the dForce Arrival of Death Outfit for Genesis 9 and also bought the add-on textures. The belt is shown with the bags, but there are no bags on the belt. They are not loading or separate props. The materials and material add on have the bag/belt textures inluded, but no bags. Is it just me or am I putting a ticket in?
It looks like the bags are seperate items, probably attached to the belt with rigid follower nodes.
But that mean that the belt should be a wearable preset, in order for the bags to load. Maybe the PA has included the wrong file.
What happens if you load all?
And I'm responding to my own post because, sure enough, it's only a few days later and here's the new Death Armor set, which seems like it would have made a lot more thematic sense as part of the Death Bundles than some of the odd stuff that was actually included?
The only thing that product has in common with the Death 9 bundle is the title.
It's a DAZ original at the exact same price point as the bundled products and it includes a scythe, which, glaringly, none of the products in the bundle do despite the fact that the character is being pitched as a Grim Reaper. That makes a lot more sense than some of the things that did find their way into the bundle.
@Felis thank you- the bags appear on the belt when I use the 'load all preset'. You are right, it should appear as a 'belt with bags' preset as well.
Got around to trying some of the other shapes - here's apocalypse
