Please help me (new update stuff).

Hey, everyone.

This will be a quick one, more of a question. So, a new update for Daz Studio was recently released and I updated. I just noticed though that I cannot access the parameters tab when it comes to simulation settings, so I cannot increase the gravity over 2, or below 0, which is annoying. Not sure if they moved the setting, or I need to do something first.

Dforce works fine, but when I right click on the settings/properties bit for gravity, or anything in the simulations tab, I only get "Favourites" "Lock" "Hidden" And "Reset Value" options. Parameter settings have seemingly disappeared.

Wondering if anyone has similar issues, and if there's a solution to this here, or if I'm just missing something.

Thank you.

  • This is by intent, though there are workarounds. The simplest is to open Window>Workspace>Customise, find Styled proerpties on the left, find Menus>Property Options (Simple) on the right, and drag the Parameter Settings comand over from the left to the right to add it to that menu. Just be aware that it was removed as the adjustments do not stick, which caused confusion.

  • Why are you adding Reset Attributes?

Because sometimes I modify Parameter Settings... then for some cases I need to reset Settings. I like this Reset Attributes feature in Parameters pane, so I add it there in Render Settings. laugh

Thank you. I actually had to pull it from the left to the right, pulling "Parameter Settings" from the left part to the right. I noticed that "Parameter Settings" was missing from the "Property Options (Elements)" tab and so put it there. Then, when I went into my "Simulation Settings" and clicked on the gear icon the "Parameter Settings" option was there, finally.

    Thanks for the help, everyone.

Alt + Left click on the pane does the same.

Nope.. Alt + Left click is to reset value rather than params. settings. They're different things.

And I must say this Reset Attributes feature is a pretty good design!
