HP Ragna for Genesis 8 Female missing bones(?)

Using Daz3D v4.22, this is a fresh install of the character Ragna from a newly launched DazStudio. I have tried working with the Actor and then Shaping on the basic G8F model. No matter how I tried this, I ended up with the problems shown in the image. All joints do the same. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Ragna model to no effect.

I have loaded other models, including the basic G8F model, which worked perfectly.

Has anyone seen this and know a workaround?

Looks to me like there are bones there, just not in the right places. Same happened here while I was adding morphs to a new TriAx figure I was creating from A3:

In this case A3's arms were well above the default bone line & needed to be adjusted to the shape & an ERC freeze applied.

Can I suggest you zero the pose, then select menu option 'Edit| Figure| Rigging| Adjust Rigging to Shape' and then re-apply a pose. If that makes it work, there is a problem with the character preset, and I suggest you first re-install, and if that doesn't cure it, open a ticket to report a problem.

    Regards,

    Richard.

You're image will probably be removed soon as it doesn't follow the nudity rules here.

  • Damn! I did not think of the nudity, just the mangled joints. I will correct and repost it.

The (deleted) pic was after a reinstall of Daz and an uninstall and reinstall of Ragna. After starting Daz, I only opened the Ragna model and immediately bent the arm.

I'm in bed now on my laptop (05:08), when I get up, I'll get on my desktop and rerender the pic with a bra. wink

  • This https://www.daz3d.com/hp-ragna-for-genesis-8-female ? It seems to pose OK in the images, and it's been available for about five years without previous issue reports that I can recall. It's possible that someother content is causing a conflict - check the log file for errors after loading the character.

  • I thought some poses were at fault, too. That's why I updated Daz to v2.44, uninstalled/reinstalled Ragna, did a DazStudio clean start, loaded Ragna, and clicked on her forearm, bending the arm at the elbow. Sigh.

Other G8F models work fine, just Ragna bites. frown

  • Can I ask again that you try what I suggested above. Regards, Richard.
  • I do not think what led to your problem, Richard & Tracy, is the same as I have since the Ragna is a fresh install in a blank scene, but I'll check it out. Thanx.

  • The symptom Ragna was showing in your image indicates to me that the rigging needs to be adjusted to the shape. If it proves to be the case, then Tech Support needs to help. The cause.. well that could be as simple as someone doing an update and forgetting the rigging adjustment erc freeze. But it's always useful to eliminate possibilities as early as possible. Regards, Richard.
  • Sorry, it took me so long to fix (clothe) Ragna.

I am still looking into this problem. I was able to use the Ragna model a few months ago. In the last couple of days, I dug the DUF file that the character I was using to find these mangled joints or what have you.

I have more pressing concerns as I am working on my AVN at present. The character that uses the Ragna model is Random, who will be making her appearance a few chapters later.
