In the past, when creating content, I only see the .png and the .duf files. Now there are .tip.png files as well. What is this type of file for, please ?

A 256 x 256 bigger png file for a better thumbnail preview when you hover you mouse over the duf file.
@crosswind - ah... OK, I see. Thanks.
You're welcome !
Is it possible to disable the generation of these files? I have custom .duf.png files that I use for my scene subsets, and this new feature bugs the heck out of me. (also... it now renames the old .png to .png.bak, and replaces it. Very annoying)
As long as the iamges you use have the same name as the duf, then you can delete the old one's.

Perfect, exactly what i was looking for
To be honest, with my older eyes and a 22"/HD screen, I find 256px square a bit small, and on my freebies, I render a 512px square (or 256x512 if the proportions are suitable) tip file . On a 4k UHD screen. that can easily only be 2.5 to 3" square, which isn't huge to see all the details you might need.

Richard
