Islamic Dress for Females

I would like to see a product incorporating Islamic dress for females - everything from a Niqab, to a Hijab, to a full Burkha outfit. I feel this would really help to enhance Arabic scenes, but there doesn't seem to be anything available in the Daz3D store at present?

There's Moroccan Dreams for V4, which is modeled on North African clothing, but that doesn't seem to have any kind of head-covering. The corresponding male set, Moroccan Dreams for M4 has a hood, but I think it's distinctively male in design and wouldn't work for females. Valea's Gypsy Hair for Genesis 2 has a headscarf that resembles head-coverings worn in some parts of the Islamic world (not sure about the lace trim, though).

Otherwise, the only products I know of are by Oskarsson over at Renderosity. Searching for "muslim" will find them for you.

I agree with you that these would be products that would be nice to see. There's a certain amount of North African architecture on sale in the store; appropriate clothing to help populate the scenes would be welcome.

  • Wow, thanks for the links guys! Those are really helpful. yes

We don't have a good cost-effective method right now for really drapey things like chadors.  This impairs a lot of other things we'd like to do that are constantly requested, such as historically accurate Greek or Roman civilian clothing.  If you can't afford Marvelous Designer for yourself you're pretty much limited to 1. using Poser dynamics and exporting to obj at the pose you want to use or 2. using Optitex items.  It's also possible to achieve a workaround with Blender, but it is harder to use than the foregoing options.

  • Thanks SickleYield. I've managed to download and install the Optitex burka for Victoria 4. I just think it would be nice to have a simple to use product in the Daz 3D store like this one:

    But for females!

  • If you can't afford Marvelous Designer for yourself

Oh, if only. I've seen some mindbogglingly good animations using MD clothes, including a "test-fitting" one where a hoodie was being poked and prodded around a character's head. Then I looked at their website and checked out the pricing page. When I woke up from my faint...

(Not as expensive as Optitex, but still (un)comfortably inside my <aaargh!!!> range.)

Is it possible to pose the items in Marvelous Designer? then export, but in what way?

    Hi Thomas63

I was able to "kitbash" a nice islamicly adherent outfit
for the G2 female with this  included robe
with the  hood visibility turned off
(the morrocan dreams dress would work nicely here also)

and this hijaab from the rosity Marketplace

and finally this facemask for a niqab
