DS 4.8 cannot export animation as movie?

I did search but saw nothing specifically for DS 4.8 with Iray, only previous versions.

Can Daz Studio 4.8 render an animation with Iray and export it as a movie (.avi .mp4, etc)?

I've been trying to find the option for about 20 minutes now, and, as I said, Google only returns previous-version results, and the search here pulls up every post that contains "export", "as" (including every word that contains "as" such as "pass", "class", "mass", and "plastic"), and "movie", from all forums (Poser, Carrarrararaarah, Bryce, etc), even though the search was initiated from within the DS sub-forum (FIX THAT!)

Or am I stuck with the "render each frame separately and stitch together in a video editor" stupidity?

Render to image sequence is generally the better option, it allows breaking the job up, it allows fixing errors or making adjustments in a limited number fo frames and rerendering only those frames, and it gives an alpha channel among other benefits. However, you certainyl shouldf be able to select Movia as the Render Type in render Settings in the General group of the Editor tab - if that option is missing check that your sstem's codecs are properly installed.
