Unable to render iray error occurring out of nowhere

So I've been using daz for several years now. A complete noob I'm not. But an error has started occurring out of nowhere and I'm having trouble pinning it down. I've gone so far as to reinstall dazz studio from the ground up, checking my drivers and everything.

Specs are WIN 11, RTX3080 DRIVER 546.1, I7-8700K@5.4, 32GBDDR4  daz 4.22

 So I've been using Daz on this card for years. I'm simply trying to load a Gen I'm simply trying to load a Genesis 8 model with a few clothing and hair items. Outlandish. Thing that I Thing that I've been able to load three or four at the same time no problem. Also the directory that it's referencing D:\DAZDevel\Hudson\HUDSON_HOME\, Does not exist. Is nothing daz related on that drive.

    What are your system specs?

    Which OS, how much RAM, which GPU, version of the GPU drivers and which version of Daz Studio?

    Have you restarted your computer lately?

    Does DS render if you open an empty scene, create a primitive (ball/cube/plane) and hit render?

    Does your RTX 3080 have 10GB's or 12GB's of VRAM?

    Just to convey my level of compentence, im a pc repair tech.10 gigabytes v ram on the 3080. Specifically it's a EVGA RTX FTW3  Yes I have restarted multiple times during the issue as it's been ongoing for several days. IRA works in a basic scene with basic files even throwing in a Genesis 8 model. Enough error occurs when loading hair or other complex things.

     

  • Loading a simple Genesis 8 model. That's it. Able to render very complex scenes for a long time and then all of a sudden can't load buckkiss without it messing up.

    I'm asking this because there are known issues with some content, for example some OOT hairs due to the hair shader used.

    You beat me to the punch. Error I had finally got it all figured out down to some OOT hairs. What exactly happened for them to just break all of a sudden? Any idea if there's a fix or a workaround? It seems to have something to do with that Hudson home directory. Is no such drive or directory or even any dazz content on my D drive on my desktop.. And lastly if any ones actually interested, here's a full  log of that.

  • Just had a similar error with some Gustef EL 101 Genesis 8 Morphs, otherwise same HUDSON problem. I deleted them without remorse, but doesn't explain these errors.

    Still looks like a bug on DAZ side.

    Same as above. even just loading hair on its own and rendering causes the same as above. If i use CPU then Daz studio crashes. 

    If i change my OOT hair to 3Delight then rendering works. just Iray materials.

    Out of Touch hairs using their custom Hair Blending shader had an issue, much discussed in the release threads. Most have been updated but having older files in another content directory, instalaltion order, and installation method can all leave the issue in place (it's a shared file so if oen is affected al will potentially be). Make sure you have any updates installed, if the issue persists then the fix is to select the hair in the scene and in the Surfaces pane, thn in the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane type "transm" into the filter box and remove any map from Transmitted Colour by clicking the icon to the left of the colour bar and selecting None.
