Something Went Wrong (Resolved)
Howdy, folks!
I haven't posted here before, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place. I come to you because something's wrong with DAZ on my computer, and it only started happening after this latest update. It's like my denoiser isn't working anymore because all my images are insanely pixilated, wheras they were very smooth in the past with hardly any noise or pixils.
I'll provide two comparrisons in this post.
The image with the woman took only a few seconds to get that crisp and smooth. There is noise, yes, but you REALLY have to look for it. You wouldn't notice it at a first glance. But the image with the man is extremely pixilated, even after waiting 10+ minutes for it to smooth out. It was NEVER like this before the latest update! And no matter what settings I use, the pixles still remain for extended periods of time!
My settings as of now:
Max Samples: Maxed out
Max Time: Maxed out
Render quality: 5.00
Rendering Converged Ratio: 98%
Noise degrain filtering: 1
Noise degrain radius: 1
Pixel filter: Ianczos
Post denoiser available: On
Post denoiser Enable: On
In the past, I always referred back to this bottom post on this page and it worked perfectly fine: How to remove noise? - Daz 3D Forums It at least got me in the ball park of what I was looking for. But NOW it seems no matter what I try, there's always pixels in the image! I even tried going back to some older files to see if they had the same issue, and yep! Sure enough. Images that took just a matter of seconds to render in the past took for freaking ever.
What the heck is going on?!

What driver are you using? The version of Iray in 4.22.0.1 requires a later driver than that in 4.21.0.5 - https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/601786/daz-studio-pro-4-22-0-x-highlights#latest
So, I'll be the first to admit I don't really think much about my drivers. The only one I have available through Geforce is 546.01. I'm assuming that should work?
Okay, the drivers were the big problem I was facing. It's always the stuff that isn't something you'd typically think about. Sheesh!
