How to add custom V4 obj head morph

So, I have a custom made V4 head. In Poser I saved it as a obj. Now in DAZ 4.8 how do I add it to V4?

The reason I'm doing this is I have a character I saved as a preset character and shape and GenX won't read the morph at all. So, I thought if I manually added the morph as an obj then GenX would read it.

Please help an old Poser dawg make his way through the DS4 labrinth of morphs :)

  • I saved a Poser pz3 with all the scene elements in a single folder. I opened it in DAZ4.8 . Here in this image DS4.8 recognizes the morph is there in her head... but when I run GenX it can't find the morph.

    So, my thinking was I'd open a brand new V4.2 and import this head morph target then use it as the base for GenX to read.

    So, from all this I'd like to learn

    1) Why doesn't GenX read some morphs that are actually there?

    2) How do you import obj morph targets to a character in a Daz4.8 scene?

    I no longer use V4 so I can't remember all the proper setting but I can get started.  Go to Edit / Figure / Morph Loader Pro (or Advance*) , you'll want to change the scale to Poser before loading in your morph target object.

    *This is one of the things I can't remember, whether it is Advance or Pro that works better with the pre Genesis figures.

    It's still not working for me. I think I must've saved the obj morph target wrong somehow. Back to the drawing board :P
