Question about Sof outfit

    Edit: nevermind, I just noticed that it's a Geo-Shell suit, so my G8.1 charater will not be able to wear it, right?

    I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread to dicuss this, I usually open a new thread to ask things but this time I thought I try asking here instead, since the item in question is on sale. The question: this product: https://www.daz3d.com/sof-1a-for-genesis-3-and-8-females can the straps on the crotch area be hidden through material zones? if so, how does it look? It's a cool model, but the reason why I haven't bought it yet is those straps, I'm not a fan of things accentuating the crotch or boobs, would rather not have the cuts over the boobs in that model, but I can live w those. For me personally, I don't think people need guidence to find that area lol, so I would buy that model today if it can be hidden without a trace, if there is material under it. So many models that I don't buy due to this issue, either crotch accentuating, or boobs same. Sorry if it's the wrong place, and if there is a correct place to ask this, where is it?

    Geoshells have the same UVs as the character they're on, so you can just switch the geoshell to base female UVs.

    Thanks Richard Haseltine for making my question a seperate thread, and by doing so answering one of my questions, so I take it it is ok to start a new thread when I have questions about an outfit/model/hair/lights ect, good to know heartsmiley.

    Thank you so much for the reply heartsmiley . I found the uv setting for the shell, set it to base G8 uv, and loaded a G8, w a what outfit shell, copied the torso to body and head material zones on the shell for G8.1. 

    To answer my own question fully, got an answer in the other thread that helped me decide to buy the outfit, but to confirm: all the parts for the groin straps, more than one, can be made transparent as in completely hidden, so far I see no trace of them, trying the outfit in a render now. So it looks like they can be completely hidden, I copied the torso from the shell on a G8, to body and head, changed the uv to base female on the shell on G8.1, and saved material presets for all geoshell suit materials, and hid the groin straps on the bodice, and made those into material presets also, so now I'm all ready to use it on my G8.1 Lara character when I want smiley. I can't see any presets for those straps hidden, but it's not hard to do manually, and I only have to do it once for all mats, then save for use later. She looks very cool in the black material, turned up the metallic flakes to be stronger, and used a face cyborg thing, looks great to go w the outfit heartsmiley.
