CMS no longer working

For some reason today the CMS for 4.9 beta has stopped working for me. On 4.9 when it loads it tells me it can't connect to the CMS and when I try and load up the CMS under the smart content tab it's now saying "Connecting to Daz 3D requires a valid connection to a PostgreSQL CMS database. A database connection could not be established. Check for potential causes. I've checked all the potential causes and reinstalled 4.9 and PostgreSQL but it hasn't worked.

And now for some reason it's started working again. Computers! lol. Nevermind!
WAIT! MY CMS hasn't been working for me for AGES! (Maybe Carrara 8.5 wrecked it somehow, seems like a year or more when I instaleld that it stopped working for me around that time?) I have been just slugging it out hunting through directories, or, GASP, even using Poser's Library panel to search, find and insert items into my DAZ scene via drag and drop (which has worked for me without incident so far). But MAN! I miss the day when I could use the full functionality of DAZ's content management! I get the same error about not being able to connect, Postrgre blah blah blah. When I click 'connect' from the top menu bar within DAZ v. 4.9.0.29 Pro 64 bit, it says the error again. I use DIM (and love it) and did go and make sure it installd the Postgre installation package. Still nothing. I'm running on an Alienware R4, Windows 7 64 bit, 32GB Ram, Nvidia GTX680 video card, 6 TB HD stoarge on two drives, neither full. I recently installed Vipre anti-malware after running Microsoft Security for ages. I've checked the ports and firewall settings and as far as I can understand have 'allowed' DAZ and the CMS and Postgre, etc. I could be doing something wrong there, like choosing the wrong .exe file to allow, port, etc, but am just not sure what to do.
Anyone?
I have the same issue. I was hoping for a quick fix... However, CMS still works under 4.8...
Okay, it appears to be working now. In the Upper right hand corner of the Smart content pane there was a login option. Although I don't remember using this in 4.9 before it is defintely there now. My login data was already loaded but I clicked to login and "voila" - it logged in and downloaded meta data. The login box is still there but says "work offline" which I assume is a toggle for that state...
Sometimes change just makes me want to beat my head against a wall...
