FaceGen (Gen 8 vs Gen9)

I haven't bought anything at all for Genesis 9 yet, because I have so much money invested in Gen 8 stuff. However, I just paid for FaceGen and decided to test the results of the two models. I have to say that, at least when it comes to FaceGen, Genesis 9 is ridiculously better (in the first image, Gen 9 is on the right, the other two images are the sources (AI generated). I used the same exact source images for both. On both, I loaded the textures of the base female maps before applying the FaceGen textures. The detail for Gen 9 is incredible, and doesn't look as plastic. The only problem I'm having is that I can render a Genesis 8 model with hair and clothing at 2k resolution, but can only do 768x768 for the Genesis 9 (NVidia 1060, 6GB). 

Does anyone else have any experience with FaceGen when it comes to the different Genesis models?
