A couple quick animate2 questions.

I ran into a few quirks/frustrations animating my last scene that I don't recall ever happening before(It is quite possible I just never ran into the same situation before). First one is, if I have something hidden in a scene like a Gen8 model and I save the scene, when I reload the scene, I no longer have that item on the timeline, I can select it in scene tab but it will never show up on the timeline again...unless...I delete the item and edit/undo the delete then it will come back. Is there a better way? Delete then undo the delete works, but I get a bad feeling "getting something to work" like that. The next one is a little more important. I cannot delete any keyframes made under Pose Controls. I don't know if this was always the case, but it is a big pain. For instance, I was making a blinking animation and using the pose control, eyes closed. I messed it up and needed to delete some of the keyframes but I could not. I had to go and find the eye controller way up in the hierarchy and delete the entire timeline for the eyes,  before I was able to  delete 5 or 6 keyframes under the "eyes closed" pose control. Huge pain trying to find it with 3 Gen 8 figures , searching in a little 2 inch tab. It makes using pose controls useless if you are like me and don't always get it perfect on the first shot. Am I missing something? Possible a setting I inadvertainly changed, or not using animate2 correctly? Has anyone else found it impossible to delete any keyframes under pose controls?

  • The having to delete a hidden item after reloading the scene is something that has been a problem since at least 2017 when I started using Daz. It's annoying for sure but I've never found another work around other than hitting delete and immediately undoing it.

As for the first point - The same as above, an issue for a long time. As an alternative, don't use that "Eye icon" to hide your figure (especially dont't Ctrl + Click to hide...), use the property - Visible in Viewport, then you won't lose the Node on the timeline next time you open the scene file. In the similar way, if you don't want to render a figure or an item, use "Visible in Render"...

As for the 2nd point - Keyframe(s) from whatever types can be always deleted...Have you ticked "Others" in Types dropdown list on the bottom of the timeline ? With it ticked, you can see that "black triangle" , then click it or frame select multi-keys, delete.
