i would have a look into environment bundles like this one i.e.

they usually contain some poses that are less "show off" but more casual

I use these all the time:  iG 100 Must Have Poses for Genesis 8 Female(s). In that collection are a handful of poses where the model is leaning forward doing something ( washing hands, sweeping, cleaning a tabletop, etc.)   These can easily be tweaked to have the character perform the specific action you need.

For male characters, these poses are a good starting points for lots of situations:  Urban Ubiquity Poses for Genesis 3 and 8 Male
