Genesis 9 Trolls HD Mega Bundle

https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-9-trolls-hd-mega-bundle I'm surprised to see no thread on this by now, it's an outstanding product. Problem for me is it's too expensive (I can get it down to about $43, I have no tokens) and I already own similar products that meet my needs. We should keep bumping up that recent thread where people listed products they would like to see in the store. Remaking redundant versions of existing products just doesn't seem to be the way to make wallets open up. I like this but Trolls Mega Bundle goes into the wishlist for now.

    No one has tokens as that system is not active anymore wink

    I got a coupon to get an extra $10 off the mega bundle since I already have the troll for Genesis. That makes the mega bundle a bit over $30 with my punch discount, which IMO is quite good for the dozen items in the bundle + the 3 orcs shapes.

    Now the question is, do I really want more trolls and orcs? Decisions, decisions....

    You can never have enough trolls and orcs ;).

    I didn't get the coupon (I guess troll for Genesis 8 and the whole orc bundle I bought last year weren't good enough for the discount), so I think I'll pass. The free extra shapes are nice (though why does Kora need Genghis Khan?!), but nothing cools one heels down like being excluded from the coupon, lol.

    Seriously, though, I'll get it eventually. Because I can't say no to morphs and unusual skins.

    Genesis Troll is offered as a freebie for buying Debut New releases today, hence the coupon for those who already have it

    If you look at the main promo closely you can see similarities to Genghis Khan in the brows part for example, so his morph is likely used as part of the mix

    Ah, missed that. An odd freebie, from my pespective, the oldest possible generation figure for buying a new release.

    Either way, I'll hold off for now. I like a lot in this bundle, but there are also many other things I could get for $42 (with Daz coupon it would be $36, but I have a feeling it won't discount fully as it hasn't for the past 2 months).

    I opted out... the 3 FREE shapes need 4 characters that I don't have to make them work... and there is no environment in the bundle... don't need any more weapons... and the clunky armor turns me off.  I'll save my money for the next bundle (fingers crossed it is something I can use)  :)

    thanks for the heads up on the required characters. they are on sale though for 80% off. Still adds up pretty fast.

    Neither of the trolls look much like I expect a troll to look, but the skins look pretty nice, and some tusk options are always welcome. Gren does have a pretty decently trolly nose, so I might get a proper troll mixing Gren's head with liberal amounts of Thimor and plenty of body hair.

    Note to self: Need more body hair products for G9.

    they look good but I don't need to spend what little money I have left before Christmas,

    buying too much grabbing something cheap everyday to keep punches for Advent freebies

    adds up

    I cannot eat and drink my 3D content Chrismas day devil

    I still need to budget for a couple of alcoholic beverages and maybe a lobster from Aldi

    I love Barrett! On my mobile he's showing up as not needing any other shapes, but I swear when I looked at him yesterday he needed another shape. Can anyone confirm?

    Same, I associate those looks more with orcs and goblins than trolls.

    So it's all your fault they keep these cringe marketing schemes. smiley I don't buy things I don't want so I can get a discount the next day on stuff I don't want.

    Thank you Llola, this site doesn't work well on my old mobile when I'm away from home. Looks like there is an extra discount on Uther today so might be worth me picking up

    If WoW-style trolls is your thing, they're trivially easy to make with this bundle.

    A proper folklore troll will take a little more work, but the available parts are looking promising.

    That looks really great for WOW... My girl troll looked pretty similar... but with longer hair ;)  Well done.

    Mixing Gren and Thimor provides a pretty good base for a folklore troll, while Grommok has a nice and rough skin that fits well. Balancing out the red tones in the skin to turn it grey makes it fit even better.

    He could do with some hunch to his back, otherwise the shape is decent. Finding the right accessories is much harder: He should have much longer and wilder hair, and even Grommok's body hair is a bit too sparse for this. I'm not even going to try to find period-approproate clothing for him, as I know I have exactly nothing.
