AutoJCM is not using new rig

I have an issue where after I create my character I go to generate Auto JCMs.
In the autoJCM dance the skeleton jumps back to an old skeleton...
Here is how to reproduce:

Create a base Gen9 character
Proportion Height - decrease
Proportion Larger - increase
(this forces a very differnt rig/skel)

After doing this - it looks as expected.
Joints are moving correctly - all good.

Just to be sure I do Edit/Figure/Rigging/ADJUST RIGGING TO SHAPE
It stays solid as a rock. Looks good. 

Now I want to lock all this down for export so :
Edit/Figure/Memorize/FIGURE
Edit/Figure/Memorize/SHAPE
Edit/Figure/Memorize/RIGGING
All good. Nothing moves. Feeling positive.
Just to check I do restores - Everything stays the same
To be EXTRA sure in Paramters I "Zero character"
Locked... perfect.

I go to sent to Unreal and Choose Morphs
I select AUTO JCM
Hit accept.

As soon as the character goes to do it's little "Auto JCM Dance" a new rig pops in over my desired character shape and dances around - not moving the character at all.
When done the rig pops back into the shape and finishes the export.

On import I get the shape I want and my rig is correct... but the JCMs do not work.

Thoughts?

  • Don't repost, please. And if you are using the existing properties to adjust the shape don't touch advanced featues like Adjust rigging to Shape and certainly not Memorise Rigging.
