[favorite pale (like, vampire-pale) but realistic skins for g8.1 females?] i have several pale g8f skins i like.  but they don't apply well to the g8.1 characters so well.

any recommendations?

You can also lower the transulency of the skin to make it paler.

You could convert Genesis 8 to Genesis 8.1.  It will keep the same material zones.  You can then use your Genesis 8.1 character shape with the Genesis 8 skins you like.  Here is a tutorial by the WP Guru Converting Characters from Genesis 8 to Genesis 8.1 (youtube.com) .  The process doesn't take very long.

wyh don't they work on 8.1? they should work without issues.

I like Septimas PBR shader/textures a lot. With a few tweaks I have used them for several vampire characters.

There is no need to do anything in most cases as materials will just apply - the exceptions, which require a little tweaking, are some products using things like Geometry Shells.

I really like CB Theodora HD for Genesis 8.1 Female, I use her materials quite a lot and she is Daz+ too. But I agree with Timbales, better to experiment first with the skins you have by changing the transelucency, perhaps you already have the skin you seek.
