Looking for help clearing up Daz version number
I recently udated Daz while I was installing some products through Daz IM. Now it looks like I have two versions installed Daz Studio4 and DazStudio4 Public Build. So now I have two desktop icons pointing to version 4.22.0.1 and 4.22.0.12 Public Build. To add to the confusion, I thought that when I started a year or so ago, I was downloading Daz Studio Pro, I'm not sure what the difference between Pro and Public Builds are. And now I see if I go into Install Manager once again there is a update for Daz Studio and the Genesis 9 essentials. Little things have been bugging out for me recently so I would like to clean this mess up. Should I delete the Daz Studio4 and leave the Daz Studio4 Public build? Since I updated through IM little things have been happening, missing mesh grabber, and can't re-install it, same for d-force assistant. Missing files on some clothing, the latest being evening dress for Gen 9 received in a bundle. Now just an hour ago I started to work with my Dire Wolf that I have used many many times before and whenever I pose them, the legs go all over the place. The poses will be applied, but if you turn, raise or lower or interact with the Dire Wolf at all, the legs turn into spagetti noodles. Really weird little things so I want to start with the basics and make sure I am using the right version of Daz with the right drivers, then I will work from there.

Daz Studio 4 (version 4.22.0.1 at the time you installed it) is the General Release, while the Public Build is a beta version. You might want the Public Build because it has features or bug fixes that aren't yet in the General Release, or to help test out new features and fixes, with the recognition that it might have other bugs.
You may be having problems if the two versions have different sets of content folders or different settings you hadn't intended. There are scripts available in the wiki to copy the content sets or settings from one channel to the other. You might also have plugins which were only installed to one channel and not the other, although in most cases just uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin should fix that.
