Reed Huts - trying to replicate that lighting - need help

Merry christmas!

I'm trying to replicate the lighting as shown in the picture below from this product:
https://www.daz3d.com/reed-huts-1

Jugding by the rays, the sun (lightsource) is pretty high up in the sky.
I don't need the rays (wouldn't hurt though, but performance might tank too much because of the haze)
I've tried various hdri skydomes, but the lighting is usually too cold. And I can see the blue of the sky through roof holes.
What I'm looking for is the warmth of that scene, the brightness inside but also that every hole in the roof should be burned highlight.

Any help?

Try using the sun/sky option instead of the dome

You either want a Distant Light or a very bright spotlight with its spread angle set to, say, 100 degrees (which will effectively do the same thing, but is easier to position and work with than a distant light IMO).

We're talking maybe five million lumens. BRIGHT.

You can ALSO get this effect by going into Sun-Sky mode, setting time of day to either about 1 pm or 11 am (it's about the angle of sun in the sky) and rotating the dome until the sun is shining into the doorway. You might also need to step up Sun Disk Intensity for that.

If the light's not warm enough for you, if you're using a spot or distant light, adjust the light temperature. 5000K is about "normal" sunlight, lower than that will be oranger, but don't go too low. If you're using Sun-Sky, there is a Sun Blue-Orange color range slider. Orange is to the right.

EDIT: Posted simultaneously with FSMC. I agree. Try Sun-Sky first. It will also have the effect of suppressing any HDRI dome backdrop, which you've indicated is what you want.
