Mesh distortion...how do I fix it?

I'm trying to make tracksuit bottoms for G3M using Marvelous Designer 5. I import to .obj into Daz Studio, convert it to a SubD and use the transfer utility. Everything works fine but some poses stretch the mesh really bad around the crotch area. Is this a weight mapping issue?

Using daz Studio 4.8 pro.

  • Yes, you probably need to smooth the weight maps so the bend is spread over more polygons.

If that doesn't work you might be able to create a jcm to fix it and link the morph activating to the leg movement.

Yeah the weight mapping is gonna work, I've never done it before but I'm getting the hang of it now. And I tried the jcm's as well, it's definitely a easier and quicker solution for me. Thanks for your help.

Glad it worked...creating clothing can be very frustrating at times.

Let's just say I have a greater appreciation for PA's after trying this myself! Finding relevant tutorials and documentation is the most frustrating, especially when trying to learn on your own.
