PSU, is only a bronze rating, and 520w - the pus is an important part of a system - don't cut corners here. Modular is good for easier cabling mgt, but doesnt guarantee it, but you pay extra for it.

120GB SSD is a bit small; tbh, if you're struggling budget-wise, lose the SSD, it doesn't help with rendering; although it does make other aspects work quicker - booting up and loading programs.

Is rendering the main reason for the computer?

Or are you a gamer at all?

  • Yes rendering for daz and after effect !!!! i dont use that computer to play games
that computer is a new one i dont want to change anything.... i just want a display card....(or i better to change something?......)
and yes the SSD is a problem now i am like just have 5 gb left and all my file is store in the HHD.......

In my opinion, if you have the budget a top spec Nvidia GTX980 GPU is what you want for Iray. I find the best result is to render using only the GPU. I currently have a GTX970 and I'm saving up for the upgrade to a 980. The 970 would then go into a PC just for rendering while I work on other scenes.

You need a bigger/better power supply to be able to handle a good video card...so that is one change to make.

If you run that PSU with a decent card in it, it will go bang sooner or later; if it works.

When it goes bang, it might not take anything else with it; or it might. I certainly wouldn't risk it.

Here's a quote that works well when dealing with power supplies...

I think I should warn you all, when a vampire bites it, it's never a pretty sight. No two bloodsuckers go the same way. Some yell and scream, some go quietly, some explode, some implode, but all will try to take you with them.

  • with what i got what display card i can buy (someone said before use msi gtx 960) is that good? or can it run gtx 970?

A bigger PSU. 800watts minimum. Brand isn't nearly as important. Video Card: Any Nvidia GTX970 or above. Brand, timing, etc doesn't matter that much. The highest (GTX, 970, 980, 980TI, Titan X) you can afford. Get at least 4 GB of Ram on the card.

    Haha.

Not heard that, but it's pretty good description.
