What is the difference between simulation freezed and visible in simulation Off?

Freeze Simulation means: the freezed item will not be simulated but only be collided with, so its current simulated result will be kept after simulation.

Visible in Simulation (Node based) means the mesh of the item is considered or not by the engine for simulation and collision. On: the item will be simulated and collided with; Off: no simulation and collision at all. Visible in Simulation (Surface based) is the same but just on the dynamic surface.

Official Thread of explanation is in here : https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/203081/dforce-start-here#latest

Is there a way to freeze animation of an object? without deleting keyframe

    What do you mean?

The same...it also works for animated range on the timeline if you turn on Freeze Simulation.

I want the selected object/figure to stay put momentary, when I simulate the whole timeline range, although it has keyframe on the timeline.

But if an object has keyframes making it moves, freezing the sims doesn't stop it to move around.

Let me put it this way... with Freeze Simulation turned On, it just prevents the simulated mesh of a "dForce item" from being simulated again rather than preventing it (or a figure or an object on which it fits) from being moved (Transforms) or other change of properties on the timeline.

Yep, I already got your explanation about the freeze simulation.

Thus, I raised another question, wondering if DAZ had a feature to stop an object/figure for being animated eventhough they have keyframes.
Cos doing a pose with let's say 2 figures that ingteract with each other and their environmet is a bit difficult.
Especially, with their Dforce items on them.

Imagine a couple sitting on a couch, with dforce clothings, comforting each other, and  have a physcial contact.

It would be easier if I animated one figure first, to simulate Dforce item on her, then made her not moving,
then I did the second figure.

The problem is, when simulating base on let's say the whole timeline, both figures are moving. Often they crosses each other, making the cloth get pulled by the hands or feet of the other, or explode.

If I can make a figure "freezed" while the other moving, it would be a little easier to setup the scene.

I got it what you want. Normally the figures should move together otherwise the collision in between dForce items and the figures might be wrong with Simulation, especially when figure A moves but figure B doesn't, there might be wrong simulation results.

Yes, there might be some unexpected cases like poke-thru with intersections, explosion, etc. under certain circumstances with Simulation, however, you cannot stop an animated figure from moving on Timeline unless : you save the pose preset of the designated figure with animate range, delete the keyframe(s) , or Memorize Figure Pose of its initial position, then move the figure away. After simulating another figure, load Pose Preset back or Restore Figure Pose, then do the same on another one. This procedure will be cumbersome I presume...

    So better try:
    - Simply hide one of the figures with its Wearables before Simulation, then there'll be no collision in between them when Simulating dForce items on another figure
    - Or turn off "Visible in Simulation" on the figure that you don't want its mesh to collide with the dForce items on another figure, then Simulate
