Toon texture. Creepy smile. Her 'HD' is not really high definition. Not unique enough to add to my G9 collection. I only like her eyes, which come from the G9 Starter Essentials I think. Not impressed.

To me, neither figure nor bundle contain anything that we haven't been served a dozen times over already. She's sweet but boring. There seems to be something wrong with the texture on her nose, doesn't look right imo. And I simply hate that she's already 'slim and petite', and all her alt shapes are variations on this or on the typical 'sexy curves' theme. Can we maybe start moving with the times? Geez ...

Well. Nothing that really blows me away. Another light-skinned girl, with an Asian flavour - presumably the female counterpart to Wang. A reasonably likeable, but rather boring face with the typical, unfortunate G9 facial expressions, which, among other things, turn Jennie's lower lip into a rubber dinghy. Or is that just because of the promos?

Apart from B.E.T.T.Y.'s accessories, the Pro Bundle contains nothing that interests me. What, for example, are the extra shapes for if you have the 'Genesis 9 Essential Shapes Bundle', which hopefully everyone has? Thanks, I'll pass and hope for really interesting (historical?) base characters in the future, whether male or female.

It seems that the shapes are not time limited this time and aren't even exclusive to the Pro Bundles: you can even get them individually.

Hopefully, they will go back to any shapes now stuck in the Vault™ and liberate them, either as only part of the Pro Bundles, or as independant non time limited product.

  • $70? Shapes making 3 of 12 products, so actually only 9 items. No, thank you.

  • Its a shame the price is abit to high for my liking on this pro bundle product. At least with some of the other bundles i was getting the license for free as well which i do consider when i buy a product from daz. So no buy from me this time daz.

She reminds me of the girlies in BLACKPINK. She's cute, and I think she has attractive proportions. That being said, if we're doing K-Pop... as I'm not too obsessed with photorealism I prefer slightly more stylised characters like eg Hyorin or Minami. Especially since Jennie isn't that photorealistic anyway... I mean, she's fine in that regard but nothing like V9 or Lawrence

You have just solved a mystery... it totally makes sense that she is Wang's companion.

Three shapes in a Pro Bundle? Really? It's really disappointing that the bundles are relying more-and-more on filler rather than actual clothing/characters or even poses.

Her shape seems nice but that promo render where she's sitting on the floor, has convinced me to pass on her because her legs look red.

There really should be more floor sitting renders for characters, because a lot of vendors and/or promo artists seem to rely on the lighting's shadow to hide the leg discoloration in the texture.

not worth the price IMO.  There are other temptations that I will consider instead.

This is my reaction too. I don't even see the usual "buy the bundle and some of her add-ons to get X% off of both." She's not a bad looking character but I think with the lack of incentives and it being so soon after Christmas I'll hold off.

Different people will have different ideas of what is content and what is filler.

She looks just like all the previous younger female DO characters for G9, why is that?
The pro bundle has 2 hairs and 2 sets of clothing worth considering, but $70 for those, is way too much.

I like the character and stuff in the bundle, but was annoyed seeing the three alternate shapes as three separate bundle items as that does seem like filler to me, or just selling each morph individually made me roll my eyes, but then I saw the price of the bundle in my cart and said no thank you there.

$20 for just one shape?  Seriously?  Can the Genesis 9 Starter Essentials not do the same thing?

it all comes down to price for me. I don't need a somewhat cutesy female with a strange smile all that much, especially where the skin texture looks very vanilla overall. The package has a couple of interesting items, but for even the lowest I can get it, $65, not happening.

$100 pro bundle? Hell no. At least make it an anime character if you can't make it photo realistic. Double hell no.

I have zero interest in her, but put a couple of the outfits on my wish list.

I quite like that dual lenght hair, but the rest of the bundle just isn't my thing..

  • Why is Daz struggling so much with making Asian characters?

    Pity.

just got a banner to get jennie9 pro bindle for another 30% off. Brings  it to $50.

And yet another toonish girl with unreal expressions.  We're now coming up on a year and a half of Genesis 9 and not only is the lineup continuing to lack any real standout figure since the V9 intro in October 2022, but they're still struggling to make the skins and expressions look believably human.  Meanwhile the bundles continue to be watered down by splitting existing elements apart into smaller packages.  Remember when a new base figure came WITH a set of poses as part of the base figure pack?  It was bad enough when Gen 9 split the characters makeup into a seperate "product".. a policy that fortunately no PA has followed... but now we're getting the shape options, which have been limited time incentive freebies prior to this, split up to count as three whole individual products?  PASS.

She's kind of cute, but I don't think I can justify spending that much this month.

Just had that pop up as well.  And yeah, I agree, still not worth it.

There's appears to be a good amount of detail in her normal/bump maps zoomed in, but she looks very uniform from a distance. Seems to be a recurring thing with G9 colour maps, but it feels like they've been particularly weak in that area recently. I just can't see myself buying her. Certainly not the pro bundle, even at $50 with the banner.

There's a hair in there I like the first glance of and that's it really. Looks a bit Anniston.

The dress appears well done but is a bit hyper-girly and hyper-sexualised for my tastes. Not an aesthetic I like at all.

The additional shapes aren't anything special at all. Previous alt shapes were generational and some of them had quite a bit of sub-D work put into them, which I liked as they brought options, fidelity and character to figures, but I'm struggling to see how these ones differ from what's in the starter packs or other morph packs. They look a bit base resolution to me - starting points not render points. But apparently they've HD versions *shrug*. And $28? Daz is having a laugh.

Silly things that annoy me.... The cover image for the Starter bundle has her in the dress....that is NOT in the starter bundle.

I wishlisted the Starter for the character and hair maybe for the November sales.   I guess they can't afford to vault her $58.99 shapes this time!

Looks like a clone of figures we've seen before or that could easily be replicated with morphs.  Which honestly pleases me no end.  I can save my cash for something else that I'm pretty sure will pop up out of the blue, or one of my wishlist items will go on sale.

    100000%

I don't know the inner workings of daz but it doesn't seem like anyone who worked on Alawa or Kayo was commissioned for Jennie because if they were actually going for someone who is of asian decent I think they missed the mark by a wide margin. Some promo images look ok-ish but others if you told me she was asian I'd think you were trying to trick me.

If daz would commision HID and bluejaunte to make an asian female DO that would be amazing, they could even do what they did with Kala and do a g9 version of previous generations asian characters.

Also, this image creeps me out:

Maybe it's the lack of a definable angle of the mandible and having the line go right into the ear but it makes the lower part of the face too long imho that combined with the thick neck and the left shoulder sort of not pronounced at all, but something feels very off. Some of the full body images makes it seem like her head is way to small for her body which also makes me feel a bit uneasy.

Though I will say that the images using the Van Helsing textures looks really good.
